IT Support Specialists
Loqus Solutions Ltd, an established software solutions provider to the local and overseas market, is seeking to recruit IT Support Specialists to form part of the Service Desk operating on a 24/7 basis.
Position summary:
The Service Desk acts as the first point of contact for our customer base. The selected candidate will provide first-level technical support on all software and hardware solutions, incident and problem management to end-users and exhibit excellent customer relations skills.
The position requires the ability to work on a rotating shift basis including nights, weekends and all public holidays.
Main Duties:
- Build rapport with help desk customers; Escalate problems (when required) to the Service Desk Manager; Record, track and document the service desk request problem-solving process, including all decisions made, and actions taken, through to final resolution.
- Apply diagnostic and monitoring utilities to aid in troubleshooting.
- Assist in configuration and installation of new software and hardware as required.
- Testing of new and existing software and hardware releases.
- Perform post-resolution follow ups with customers as required.
- Develop and update support procedures as part of the Service Desk Knowledge Base and FAQ lists for end users.
- Reinforce SLAs to manage end-user expectations
- Maintains current knowledge of technology innovations
- Maintain the appropriate level of confidentiality
- Attend training / refresher courses to maintain an excellent level of customer service
Minimum Skills Required:
- Strong IT background
- Excellent troubleshooting, problem solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills in English and Italian– other languages will be considered an asset
- Ability to multi-task and adapt rapidly to constant change in processes and technology
- Ability to work on own initiative as part of a team
- Ability to be flexible in time and availability to meet the demands of the service desk operations.
- Ability to tactfully handle confrontational interaction with customers
Education
Minimum: A-Level in IT; Diploma in Computing and Information, MCAST IT Certification or equivalent.
The selected applicant(s) will be provided with in-depth training on our products and services but basic knowledge of customer relations is expected. This is an ideal post for a person who is seeking to further their IT career in one of the many IT related roles that the client routinely requires.
Spanish, German, French and Italian Software Developers
We are currently looking to recruit Spanish, German, French and Italian Software Developers to compliment our young and dynamic team of programmers based in Malta. If you have the following experience you could be the person we are looking for:
- Developing and implementing systems in .NET (VB.NET/C# or ASP.NET)
- Relational database development preferably MS SQL Server
- Web Technologies (HTML, XML, JavaScript, Web Services and Windows Services)
- Understanding and knowledge of software/project development lifecycles
- Designing systems and understanding specification in UML Design Methodologies
You should also be capable of:
- Working in a team environment
- Working on your own initiative and under pressure
- Speaking English Fluently
